13 Week Ultrasound

We had an ultrasound on June 29 at 12 weeks, 5 days. It was so amazing to see how much the baby changed in just four weeks! This was a really long ultrasound and we got to see the baby do a lot of acrobatics because it was a very long ultrasound. It was the first time Michael got to hear the heartbeat and see an ultrasound with more than just a yolk sac/placenta. It was so wonderful to share this time together. I know that after the baby is born moments between just the two of us will not be as frequent, so I am trying to cherish all of them as we celebrate the family our love has created.

No belly yet...

I've been taking weekly belly photos, but really don't have one yet...just feeling bigger and watching everything in my closet stop fitting. Hopefully soon I will have a cute pregnancy bump. I've tried telling the baby this, but he/she is not listening very well. :) I'm sure five months from now I'll wish the belly was smaller!

Wow!

We are going to have a baby! We can't believe it and are incredibly excited. We found out we were expecting on April 28, 2011. It was quite a surprise, but such a blessing!

We told my Mom and Lee, Tim and Terri and my Dad and Lorie over the Memorial Day weekend. They were all pretty thrilled.

Ultrasound photo of Baby Utt at 8 weeks, 4 days (May 31, 2011)! I got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. It was so beautiful! The fact that we are having a baby was really beginning to sink in and the excitement was really beginning to grow.
