Happy Easter!

Ashlynn's first Easter was so much fun! We went to church...where momma and Ashlynn discovered there is a nice room that broadcasts the service when needed. Then Ashlynn went over to Mimi's before we hosted a dinner at our house.

Ashlynn was so worn out after the Easter egg hunt at Mimi's that she needed a nap.

The Easter bunny brought Ashlynn lots of fun goodies - some cute outfits, fun socks, a swim shirt and of course some new hair bows!

I am Three Months Old!

Our photo shoot went much better this month, although I was 11 days late taking the picutes. I took these on Friday, April 13, 2012 instead of April 2, 2012. They are definitely the best ones yet! I think Ashlynn looks absolutely adorable!! She is turning into such a ham for the camera...momma is SO proud!

April 2, 2012 - Three Months

Dear Ashlynn,

It is amazing how much you have grown over the last month! You are still fitting in your 0-3 month clothes, but not for long! I've been trying to put you in all of my favorite outfits so you can wear them a few more time. I just love how chunky you are...there isn't much I love more than a chunky baby...especially when she's my little chunky monkey. You started sleeping through the night at nine weeks, mommy and daddy were so excited about this accomplishment, although sometimes I miss having that nighttime feeding with you. We tried out your crib one night, but you woke up four times, so we decided to try again later. I don't think we are ready for you to be upstairs by yourself!

This month you had some fun outings, you started going to your babysitters, Miss Debbie and Miss Lynn. You are doing really well, probably better than momma is doing!  You also went to your first two birthday parties, Emerson & Nathan both turned two. Momma can't believe that in only nine months, it will be time for your birthday party! Don't worry, momma has your theme all picked out and is already planning your party!

Your "talking" has really expanded, you make a lot more noises. You are super happy in the mornings, daddy really loves that because you have special time together every morning after I go to work. You still don't love tummy time, but we are trying! You started out the month being incredibly fussy in the evenings, but thankfully that has decreased a little bit.

Meeting Great Grandpa & Great Grandpa

On March 31, Ashlynn got to meet her Great Grandpa John and Great Grandma Nancee. We had a wonderful visit. Ashlynn was all decked out in her Easter gear {and bow}, much to Grandpa Dale's dismay :) He must not have minded too much since he didn't want to share Ashlynn very much.

Thumb Sucking

Ashlynn learned to suck her thumb in Week 13 on March 28. I really wanted her to use a pacifier instead, but since it really soothes her, especially in the middle of the night, I don't fight her constantly. When I am holding her, I do replace her thumb with a paci though. We'll see what happens. The pictures are pretty cute though! Hopefully she won't be sucking her thumb in middle school :)
