May 2, 2012 - Four Months
Dear Ashlynn,
On April 15 you rolled over from your tummy to your back. Both mommy and daddy were there to see it, so it was really special. It was a Sunday afternoon and you were on your tummy time mat (actually not screamingJ ), randomly I asked Daddy to come upstairs and you must have been excited to see both of us, because you rolled right over. You’ve been doing it constantly ever since!
At three months you were momma’s chunky monkey, but you’ve
leveled out a little bit in the weight gain department. You may not be my
chunky monkey anymore, but you are just as sweet.
This month, you had your first Easter. It’s so crazy to
momma that I didn’t even know I was pregnant last Easter. The biggest
accomplishment this month was that you moved upstairs to your crib. You are
sleeping so much better, it really is amazing. Some nights you sleep 10-12
hours! Typically you eat five times per day and go to bed about 8:30 or so.
During the week, we have to wake you up to eat in the morning and on the
weekends you’ve slept past 8:00 some days. It is so wonderful, but makes us
realize that you are growing up so fast. It’s sleeping through the night now,
driving, dating and college next…okay, maybe momma is getting ahead of herself! On April 15 you rolled over from your tummy to your back. Here are your four month stats:
- 13 pounds, 3.5 ounces – 42nd percentile
- 25.5 inches long – 79th percentile
Thank you for another wonderful month. You are so loved!
Love,
Momma
Carousel Ride
Nana really wanted to take Ashlynn to ride the carousel. Since Nana needed to be in a wheelchair after coming home from the hospital, I knew quickly we might need reinforcements! Aunties Amanda and Kate and Sophia came to the rescue. We all met at the mall to ride the carousel and then had a super yummy lunch at Olive Garden, Nana's favorite. Ashlynn LOVED the carousel. Honestly, I wasn't sure she would even realize she was on the carousel, but she really enjoyed herself...actually we all did. Kate was like the paparazzi as we rode around, a fun time was had by all. Hope you enjoy the photos...they are overexposed as I'm still learning manual mode on my camera. Next time we need to make sure to get a photo of Kate, too!

Serious Baby
Ashlynn is pretty serious a lot of the time as these pictures show. It was nice to get some pictures without her thumb in her mouth! I'm loving the new camera lens we got.
Visiting Nana
In April Nana had to go to the hospital, that was very scary and sad, but Ashlynn and I had two good visits with Nana while she was there. The first time I took a lot of pictures then got home to find out there wasn't a card in the camera. Ugghh! When we went to visit Nana on Sunday, I got some cute pictures of Ashlynn and Nana. While it is not good that Nana is in the hospital, we had a good visit and are thankful for all the time we have with Nana and all of our family. We took some pictures to the hospital and Nana loved sharing them with all of the nurses and doctors. Obviously they thought that Ashlynn was adorable...which we already knew :)

Happy birthday Carson!
We had a great time at Carson's third birthday party. It was a bug theme and was super cute as we would have expected from Auntie Sheri. Carson's family shared their love with Ashlynn and she loved it!

My Big Pink Chair!
Our big splurge in Ashlynn's nursery is her big pink, polka dot chair. I just love it more than anything! I hope that she grows up loving it. It was actually a mistake that it was polka dotted, but I am just so happy the manufacturer made that mistake because I love the character! Her nursery is lots of shades of pink and green with dots, stripes and damask.
